

The DBYC 2025 Opening Day Parade is Saturday, April 12th at noon and finishes at DBYC around 4:30pm where all Boat Captains and Crew come to the Yacht Club for the after parade party. The After Parade Party is a closed event until 7pm with tables reserved for Captains & Crew, and Parade Volunteers.
You can still join the boat parade by registering from the Opening Day Parade link below. Every boat in the parade will have a reserved table at the Party. The theme is "Living in Paradise" and we look forward to seeing everyone's interpretation of the theme. All boats in the parade must have a working VHF radio. If you are interested in decorating tables for the party, please TEXT Rear Commodore Melinda at 714-249-0123. We need just a handful of festive souls willing to decorate and the supplies have already been purchased. Decorating can be done Saturday, April 12th, anytime before 3pm.
When the boats are coming in at the end of the parade, we need a handful of capable hands to serve as Dock Crew to help catch dock lines. If you help dock, we have a table and a drink reserved for you. Please email Port Captain Craig Daley at portcaptain@dbyc.com
For the Skippers Meeting we need 2-3 volunteers to check in the Skippers, and hand out boat numbers and wrist bands. The Skippers Meeting is Wednesday, April 2nd at 6:30pm and should only last 60 minutes or less. We will have all the information ready for you, If you are able to help at the meeting please contact Commodore Paula at commodore@dbyc.com . MBG will be serving up Small Paradise Plates that are on theme with the parade.
