The Discovery Bay Yacht Club in conjunction with the Bay Area Water Ski Club and the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary will be putting on a California Boat Driver's License Course on Saturday, May 19th from 9 to 4. The Class will be held in the Bilge Room. Registration will start at 8:30 space is limited to 20 students.
Since Calif. is requiring a Boating License (Card) beginning this year depending on the driver's age the DBYC and the BAWSC felt this would be an opportune time to encourage and help boat drivers obtain this license. At the end of the course participants will receive a certificate of completion which they can mail to the DMV along with $10 to obtain their lifetime Boating License Card.
The cost for course participants is $25 discounted from the Coast Guard's normal $45..
