Groovy Judy is one of the “top” female guitarists and entertainers in the The Bay Area.
Influenced by great artists such as Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles and Sly and The Family Stone, her style and energy equals some of today’s most-known artists. Her stellar guitar playing, inspirational lyrics, colorful dress, and upbeat personality help people smile and feel good about themselves. As an independent artist she’s released 2 full length CDs (Groovy Judy, Life) and one EP (A Little Love). She’s featured in the International Music Magazine “Guitar Player,” was a finalist at The Emergenza Music Festival, won best Inspirational Song from West Coast Songwriters and numerous ASCAPlus songwriter Awards. She’s been a featured performer at The 40th & 45th Anniversary of the Summer of Love Festivals in Monterey and has opened for rock legends Big Brother & The Holding Company and Jefferson Starship. From her own uplifting compositions to covering the best Top 40 classic rock, funk, R&B and Motown, she puts on an electrifying, high-energy, family-friendly show that appeals to all ages.
