 DBYC’s Scotch Whisky Tasting

Sample the tastes, sights and sounds of Scotland at the DBYC’s Scotch Whisky Tasting at 4 p.m., Saturday, February 27 at the yacht club.

Taste six premium single-malt Scotch whiskies and learn how they are distilled in Scotland from an international whisky expert.  Sample authentic Scottish meat pies, shortbread and the legendary haggis.  Hear live bagpipe music to stir your soul.  Watch the amazing Red Thistle Scottish Highland Dancers of San Jose perform.  Listen to Scottish-poet Robert Burns’ Ode to a Haggis.  See men in kilts!

Plus, there will be raffle drawings for premium bottles of wines, craft beers and the grand-prize of a single-malt Scotch whisky. 

When the Scottish cultural program ends at 7 p.m., the DBYC kitchen staff will offer Club Grill dinners for an additional charge.  All non-ticket holders are welcome for dinner then. 

The February 27 event is limited to 100 people and there will be no assigned table seating.  Tickets are $25 per person, which only may be purchased online.
